• Property investments as a long term strategy

Posted on April 30th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

The property  investments market is extremely volatile at the moment. Many small investors have seen as much as ten year’s accumulated profit wiped out in one short year. Largely thanks to over-borrowing when credit was cheap.

Property  investments should be seen as a long term investment only. Any wishing to get in and out quickly are at the mercy of the same market forces as any other commodity market. Values go up and down, but invariably the trend is a long, slow upward movement, with blips up and down along the way. 2006 saw the start of the current decline in values of real estate and this trend looks set to continue downwards for the immediate future. At some point this will change, but it is almost impossible to predict exactly when this will occur.

Some markets are seeing more volatility than others. Dubai for instance has seen drops of over 50% in value in a few months time. Some are suggesting that Dubai’s luxury real estate market is finished, and those wishing to invest in property in  Dubai should consider carefully the implications of buying real estate in a foreign land.

The long term future should be good for real estate prices, but the short term certainly looks bleak. As with any investment decision, bear in mand that values go up as well as down, particularly over the next 5 to 7 years as global economies struggle to come to terms with the enormous losses of the financial sector.

No one is in a position to accurately call bottom, or predict the future price of property.

  • Car Liability Insurance and its Proper Definition

Posted on April 30th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

We all know that insurance comes in many guises.  Car liability insurance is the insurance that pays out when a person claims off you for any damage to property or body incurred by an accident with you.  You are required to have at least car liability insurance in order to legally drive.  Different areas have their own requirements in relation to minimum liability coverage.

Bodily injury liability insurance deals with any injuries the car owner and their covered family members cause.  You are also covered when driving somebody else’s car, with their permission of course.  But you can buy more than just this type of insurance.  Most people to in fact chose to buy more insurance and this is due to the fact that they may be sued if they cause an accident.  You want as much protection as possible in that case.

Property damage liability insurance is another type you will need.  This basically covers damage to property caused by an accident.  This would cover damage to things like other buildings, other vehicles, lamp posts, etc.

Car liability insurance is contrasted by comprehensive insurance, which covers much more.  Compared to car liability insurance this comprehensive insurance covers eventualities such as theft, arson and vandalism.  Comprehensive insurance is, naturally, more expensive.

  • Epiphone Guitars Impressions

Posted on April 30th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

Epiphone guitars have a long story. Epiphone was a family business established in 1873 by Anastasios Stathopoulo, a greek violin maker, as “the House of Stathopoulo”. In 1923 they incorporated and at this stage made mostly high quality and fancy banjos. In 1928 the name was changed to “Epiphone” after Epi Stathopoulo, chairman of the company and one of the founder’s sons. In the 1930’s, the company modified its emphasis to guitars. Epiphone successfully switched to guitar production.

The C.G. Conn Company (a band instrument builder) bought Epiphone in 1953 and moved production to Philidelphia (although the labels still said New York). This was done because New York Epiphone workers were in conflict with the Stathopoulio family. Later, in 1955, the Stathopoulo family regained control, but few if any instruments were made in 1956 and 1957.

Epiphone guitars draw interest from different kinds of buyers. Someone collects older Epiphones as vintage guitars. Others buy the newer Epiphones as habitual playing and performance guitars, whether they find them new or used. Epiphone belongs to the Gibson family of brands. Many modern Epiphone models closely track the models sold under the Gibson brand, but they are considerably less expensive. Debate rages among guitar players as to whether the price differential is justified.

Many believe that Gibson brand guitars are of higher quality, and worth higher prices. Others love their Epiphones, and wouldn’t trade them for any other guitars. Meanwhile, vintage guitar collectors prize older Epiphones partly for their historical interest.

I collect and play mostly vintage Gibson guitars and recently started purchasing Epiphones to give the Gibsons a break. I have been very amused with the new Prophecy series from Epiphone. Futuras with the EMG’s and the SG GX with the Dirty Fingers all play and sound huge. I started purchasing Dirty Fingers PUP’s two years ago to replace standard Epiphone PUP’s in my other Epiphones when they first became available from Gibson. I’m very happy. Epiphone had the same idea and made this an easy purchase without my having to reconfigure the electronics. All I can say is if you get a chance to get a Epiphone Prophecy series guitar, buy it while they are still available. They are more than worth the small investment if you are a serious musician.

As a absolutely fan of Gibson guitars it very likely doesn’t surprise you that there are a lot of Epiphone guitars that I would buy and that I have recommended to other people. Epiphone’s are great for people who enjoy the look and feel of a Gibson, especially the Les Paul style guitars, but who’s budget doesn’t allow the luxury of a Gibson. Obviously if anyone thinks to compare the Epiphone Les Paul with a Gibson Les Paul, he has unrealistic expectations. But having said that, most Epiphones sound pretty well with some new strings and a set up. If you invest a few more dollars into a new set up pickups, you can really get some fantastic sounds that would be more than appropriate for a live application.

The Epiphone Les Pauls aren’t the only guitars that Epiphone makes. Their hollowbody and semi hollow body guitars are indeed great instruments and have tremendous value in terms of the quality of tone versus the price that you pay. And most of the Epiphone hollowbodys I have ever played play excellent right out of the box. Again you will very likely want to take it to your local guitar shop and get it set up with some new strings and maybe new pickups for the truely ambitious that want to customize their sound. But if you do that, you will have a great sounding guitar for a very affordable price and you don’t have to buy new pickups or get a set up as part of your initial cost so it makes it that much more affordable. If you love Gibsons but can’t really make that kind of financial committment for a guitar, I recommend trying an Epiphone and see how you like it. I think you will be intensely enthusiastic.

The Epiphone Tony Iommi Signature G-400 Electric Guitar is what you want for heavy hitting sound. Classic SG attitude is enhanced with black chrome hardware, mother-of-pearl cross fingerboard inlays and, on the solid mahogany body, a matching black finish. The Gibson USA Tony Iommi pickups put out the firepower required for maximum destruction and the slim-tapered mahogany neck is fast. Epiphone guitars can be a big surprise!

Starting from 1873, Epiphone instruments have been proudly played and endorsed by professional musicians. And while every Epiphone is the result of over 126 years of experience working directly with musicians, only a few embody a single artists individual creativity and spirit. The Epiphone Signature Collection guitars are as mythical and as individual as the artists themselves. The Les Paul guitar is equivalent of Rock and Roll. No other guitar is so powerful and and gives you the sustain and the sound of a Les Paul. If its got Les Pauls signature on the headstock, its the real thing… Don’t accept substitutes!

  • How to Make Residual Income for Newbees

Posted on April 29th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

Maybe you feel like its time to break the mold and start making passive residual income, don’t forget to start slow and build a formula. Initially you will probably should consider which you’d enjoy more, slaving away at a nine to five job or being your own boss. Personally I’ve never enjoyed working for others so I prefer to work on an enterprise or empire rather than moving from job to job for someone else. Sometimes you will decide to do a combination of both in order to satisfy your capital requirements. Now if your goal is to learn strategies and how to blog then I would probably recommend that you think long and hard about developing a game plan or a roadmap to success so to speak that will make your dreams come true.

This business takes patience and determination, if these are qualities that you don’t feel you possess, you need to find them within yourself or consider the fact that internet marketing may not be what’s best for you. If your goal is to create a website about internet marketing, spend time writing about me2everyone reviews believe me, the topic gets a lot of searches per day and will become a nice source of revenue in regard to PPC clicks and CPA offers. If you plan on doing offers and taking freelance projects then your on your own but I think that there are several companies out there like Elance that are worthy of taking a look at.

The thing that is extremely important is staying on track and building a formula and strategies that work. Once you find something that works and something you like then keep improving on your formula. If you are planning to start a website, start three at the same time so you can figure out which niche is most profitable and if all three are profitable then build each of them out. If you decide you want to cut back then you will be able to sell the other two off to make a few bucks and then you can invest the revenue into your favorite operations.

  • Hawaii Vacation Homes: Experience a Vacation in Paradise

Posted on April 28th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

You are certainly not alone if you’re considering a vacation to Hawaii. The Hawaiian Islands are one of the top ranked vacation spots not only in the USA, but also in the whole world. Its sun-drenched beaches, tourist attractions, and spectacular landscape invite many regularly but some are discouraged because of cost or difficulty. The solution to this problem is to stay at a Hawaii rental, which will make your visit easy and relatively inexpensive.

Hawaii is widely renowned as a vacation destination and, because of the high tourist demand; just about any Hawaii hotel will generally be nearly, or fully, occupied. Most times it will be difficult, at best, to find the type of room you want, with beachfront and ocean view rooms being the hardest. You don’t have to stay in a hotel as you can choose a vacation home instead. A Hawaii vacation home rental will provide a more diversified choice of accommodations and generally will be more widely available during the peak tourist season (Dec 20 through April).

If you wish to rent a property in Hawaii, there is no shortage of options from which to choose. These include condominiums, town houses, apartments, and houses with up to 5 bedrooms, or more. Full size houses are, of course the costliest of these rental properties. That said, there are price fluctuations and its best to inquire prior to making a decision on which property to rent.

Choosing a vacation in Hawaii involves a number of exciting choices. Although tourists can’t visit every island in the archipelago, an Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Kauai or Big Island vacation home is a widely popular alternative to staying at a crowded hotel.

Consider some of the advantages that usually come with rental properties as compared to hotels. Rental properties can come furnished with complete kitchens, private yards and gardens, parking facilities and sometimes a swimming pool too. Visit our website for complete details of amenities offered with every vacation rental.

  • How to Be an Affiliate Marketing Rockstar?

Posted on April 28th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

Have you been living the rat race life for quite a while and now you’ve grown tired of the boss breathing down your neck and the exhausting office politics? Or maybe you simply need an extra source of income? Whatever your reason may be, if you want some good decent income going your bank account’s way, doing affiliate marketing can be a very viable path to follow.

What exactly is affiliate marketing? It is a technique posing as a business opportunity that lets those with entrepreneurial spirit explore the world of passive income through marketing products for other businesses. You can earn through commissions.

So if you think you’d like to give affiliate marketing a try, how do you ensure your success in this field? Here are some very important tips you should follow:

    - Choose your niche well

One of the most important factors to consider in doing affiliate marketing is choosing the best affiliate company or products to market. It can make or break your earnings. If you have a certain field that you’re most interested in, the easier you can go through the process of deciding what affiliate program to join. So start making a list of your interests and see what affiliate programs come up from that list.

    - Create a website that gets followed

One of the best ways to make the most bucks in affiliate marketing is through the creation of well-designed websites. Make sure that your site is easy to navigate and compels targeted visitors to convert – either to sign up under you as referrals or to purchase the products you are marketing. A quality landing page that has a call to action for your targeted visitors to do what you need them to do has excellent content that can either be texts that reviews the product, a video tutorial that lets visitors learns how to benefit and use the product well and a very conspicuous opt-in form.

    - Use the power of freebies

Useful content is what you can use in making the word free mean money to you. When you offer free content, like say, free reports, when the right people get hold of this report, it can translate to more referrals or purchases.

    - Learn how to get targeted traffic to your site

You can’t benefit from your well-designed website, no matter how good your content and freebies are if you don’t have the right visitors. So how do you drive targeted visitors to your site? You can do off-page search engine optimization or also known as link building. Whether use blogging, social networking and word of the mouth just to get the attention of the right people.

There are different ways on how you can successfully make people go to your site through this means – article marketing or the use of written content and submitting it to directories for publishers to pick it up and drive people to your site, you can set up and maintain social network accounts and let people know about your affiliate sites, or you can tap on your contacts – especially the new media savvy ones like popular bloggers and or community managers to spread the word about your sites.

If you follow all of the abovementioned bits of advice, it will be hard for you to fail as an affiliate marketer.

  • Free AdSense Training Course – More than 30,000 Readers

Posted on April 28th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

I was reviewing some statistics on one of my websites the other day and found that well over 30,000 people have now taken my free AdSense training course.

The course was until recently a bit out of date because I first wrote it in 2003! although many of the underlying principles remain unchanged. Anyway, I’ve updated it a fair bit of late and am pleased to report that most people remain on my AdSense list for over a year and I know for a fact that many people have been on it for over 999 days whatever that is in years.

So if you are looking for free info on how to make money with AdSense you’re on the right place. Just check out AdSense.

What you get there is a 5 day intro to AdSense coupled with an introduction to AdSense related tools and tips. You also get an opportunity to sign up for some additional free Internet Marketing Training

The AdSense course is aimed at relative newbies to AdSense and covers topics such as keyword research, content creation, traffic generation and domain names so it’s fairly generalised.

The Internet Marketing Course is more generalised and sets out to teach people how to make money online either as a standalone business opportunity or as a means to grow an existing business that needs a web presence or that is already online but not doing very well.

Both the courses are backed up by further information in an online Internet Marketing Dictionary

  • Cats, I Love them

Posted on April 28th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

Cats are the coolest animals on the planet. Yes, that statement is rife with conjecture and straight up personal opinion—based on personal pet preference. But they really are amazing creatures.

Cats have their own laundry or body soap solution, and can wash themselves in all areas except the one area Moms used to nag about—behind the ears…at the nape of the neck. Oh, and they can be picked up (with teeth!) by that nape of the neck, without ever flinching or griping or calling out in pain.

Cats don’t hassle or pounce, relentlessly, when you enter a room. They have little interest in your command performance attention—the quality and quantity of which had better be delivered, according to their mortal foes, dogs, or you’ll get a face full of slobber, a front full of mudprints, or a shove to the ground because the dog thinks he’s a lapdog when he is, in fact, a Rhodesian Wolfhound weighing in at over a 100 pounds.

Cats are so intuitive they know when you need them. That is, if you are weeping, depressed, lonely, or ill, they will first stare at you for a minute, likely picking up which vibe it is they need to address, and then will come close. This is not hyperbole or conjecture on my part. Numerous studies have been done to indicate that pets in general but especially cats have been introduced into high-stress people’s homes and hospital wards—and the illnesses decreased, the stress levels reduced, and the feeling of well-being returned to degrees of something around 15% improvement.

I mentioned that cats stare. Yeah, this is one I still am trying to figure out. They will position themselves in statuesque stillness, focus on one spot, thing, or you (shudder), and with unblinking, undeterred pose will penetrate whatever (or whomever) it is they stare at. I have paid close attention to this particular behavior on many an occasion, and can only see not a bored soul just watching the air molecules move about but a profoundly knowing being…whose eyes, when you look deeply into them, reveal eras and ages of reincarnated mystique, reveal the origin of their many dimensioned essences.

I may be interpreting this because I know the cat’s history. Or know what others know thus far. Cats were a revered animal in Egypt. They were found buried in the tombs and sarcophagi of the royalty. They were reportedly so esteemed that a person was caught harming a cat that person was executed. (Wish we had held onto this one archaic law, especially when I see how cats are sold in markets for food in some countries, or how cats are tortured by cults or kids with nothing better to do and no more brain cells than to set a now defenseless domesticated creature on fire. Makes me very angry, actually.)

And back to the physical wonderment of cats…that whole hairball thing, while at first may be disgusting or may seem pitiful (I always go into apoplectic sympathy mode as the cat looks at me to shut me up so she can be sick), is really fascinating (and makes sense). The cat is licking her hair every day and night, many times. She is of course collecting the fallout. In her gut. She then, on scheduled intervals of time, hunkers, hacks, and hawks until the perfectly bundled thing is expelled. And then she begins the cycle all over again.

Cats have (students and professors at Cornell studied) 100 different vocalizations. My favorite is the rrow-rrow-rrow one as if my cuddly baby is chirping with giddy delight. (It is happy, it is friendly, and it is a greeting. It is also an expectation—of goodies.)

I am really not all that intellectual about cats, though I do acknowledge a deep respect for and kind of metaphysical fascination with cats. So I am always learning something new, coming to understand their biological imperatives—that they wash immediately after eating (or after you eat, even) so they don’t (their cells recall this from jungle days eons back) appear as food or prey. Duh. I didn’t think of that. They scratch and claw stuff not only to sharpen their claws. They do so to leave scent for those competitors (in our case, the raccoons) that might even think about approaching for a nice warm bed, lots of healthy food, much smooshy affection, and the occasional starefest. Which still kinda creeps me out.

  • Why I Choose a Jogging Stroller

Posted on April 27th, 2009 AllOfUs No comments

I was running on the treadmill at my local gym when a new mother hopped onto the treadmill next to me. Much to my surprise she was holding her baby. I asked her why she was carrying that new baby on a treadmill. She said she couldn’t bear to part with her little one, yet still wanted to get a workout in. After about ten minutes she was extremely tired and her baby was crying. Now what? Well within a few days I saw her again. This time she wasn’t at the gym. She was running outside the gym. She was jogging behind her nice, new jogging stroller. Mom was happier and her baby was happy too.

I have had several moms e-mail and ask “Is a jogging stroller right for me?” Well there are a few factors to consider.

First, if you prefer to run on the treadmill at the gym then you probably won’t need a jogging stroller. However, if you are like me and enjoy running outside and spending time with your baby then a jogging stroller is the best way to go.

When you choose to buy a jogging stroller don’t forget important safety features like a hand brake and wheel locks for easy stopping, safety belts and the five point harness. Your child’s safety should always come first. The five point harness is great for toddlers and small children.

Also consider your child’s comfort. You may want to look into a reclining seat and a canopy. It is also a good idea to wait until your child is holding his or her head up and sitting independently before using the jogging stroller. However, there are safety products you can buy if you would like to use your jogging stroller sooner.

When we’re running in cool or cold weather, we may be hot or comfortable in minimal clothing, but a child is not doing the exercise. Don’t forget to dress your little one in warm clothes, especially if you’re running or walking in the wind. Short runs are best with your child. Competing while pushing your running stroller is not recommended.

I prefer a jogging stroller versus a regular stroller because I enjoy being outside. I have found that my jogging stroller makes it a lot easier to push on non-paved roads and it moves at a faster pace
