Suspension kits for Lincoln Town Car.
Posted on June 25th, 2009 No commentsFor 1985, the Town Car air suspension received minor design updates. Like previous years, the scheme included a reflector running in between both taillights above the bumper mounted license plate – a design feature kept for the second generation 1990–1997 Town Car. But now, a single, wide reverse lamp was mounted in the center of the reflector panel (the lamps moved up from the previous bumper location). All four corners of the vehicle were slightly rounded, and the new, narrower bumpers were flush mounted with the sides of Town Car. Inside, the 1985 dashboard used satin black trim on the lower dashboard fascia and a slightly revised steering wheel with a padded center panel including a horn button — the previous year had a hard plastic center piece, with the horn button located at the end of the turn signal stalk. The large wood-tone applique used on each door panel through 1984 was replaced by an insert matching the seat upholstery.
In 1985, Cadillac DeVille and Fleetwood were both downsized, the former converted to front-wheel drive. Lincoln, however, continued to field the Town Car as a traditional-sized luxury car. In response to the downsized Cadillacs, Lincoln began running a series of ads in late 1985 titled “The Valet” which depicted parking attendants having trouble distinguishing Cadillacs from lesser Buicks, Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs and even Chevrolets, with the question “Is that a Cadillac?” answered by the response “No, it’s an Oldsmobile (or Buick, Chevy, etc.).” At the end the owner of a Lincoln Towncar suspensions would appear with the line “The Lincoln Town Car please.” The commercial saw the emergence of the new advertising line, “Lincoln. What a Luxury Car Should Be.” which was used into the 1990s.[11] The mildy-revamped ‘85 Town Car sold well, pushed along even further by the newly re-styled GM vehicles that not only all looked like each other, but also too similar to lesser GM models as well. Fuel prices dropped to a contemporary new low, and with operating economy less of a concern than a decade prior, the traditional layout and size of the Town Car was attractive to many buyers in the mid-80’s.
Visually, 1986 was a virtual re-run of the popular 1985 model, but with the addition of the federally-mandated third brake light, mounted on the parcel shelf in the rear window. The dashboard featured more wood-tone accents (in simulated blonde walnut burl), whereas the 1985 model held satin black lower dashboard panels. Tall, four-way articulating front seat head restraints arrived in many Ford vehicles for 1986, including Town Car. The biggest mechanical change for 1986 was the switch to multi-port fuel injection for the 5.0-liter, 302-cubic-inch engine. This replaced the throttle-body fuel injection system that had been used previously. The MPFI engines are easily identifiable visually, by their cast aluminum upper intake manifolds with horizontal throttle body (vertical throttle plate), replacing the more traditional-looking carburetor-style throttle body with top-mounted air cleaner of previous Town Cars. 1987 was more of the same for Town Car rear air suspension, and changes were minimal. The top-notch Cartier model – which was previously only available in two-tone arctic white and platinum silver, changed to dual shades of platinum (a metallic beige), along with a new interior color in a revamped sew-style, with a sandy beige color (“Titanium”) replacing the former white and gray upholstery. Also new was the available JBL single-slot CD Player.

How do Rear-Projection TVs Work?
Posted on June 25th, 2009 No commentsLike most people, you may be filled with a burning curiosity to know what makes a rear-projection TV work. To be honest, it’s largely done with smoke and mirrors. (Only joking – if there is smoke inside your rear projection television you have a serious problem!)
First, a video image is projected via a projectors lamp inside the television, then a system of lenses and mirrors redirect the picture onto the inner surface of a see-through screen.
When this technology was first introduced, CRTs (cathode ray tubes – the things that made old-fashioned TVs so bulky) were used, and it worked very well. The only problem with this was that the tube made the chassis extremely heavy and, often, a floor-standing cabinet was required to accommodate it.
So, as screens grew larger, and the industry began to take up the new, wider 16:9 aspect ratio (the ratio of height to width), those old CRT boxes gradually became replaced by newer models which deliver high-quality pictures in light, compact enclosures.
Rear-projection TVs have built-in high definition capability nowadays. This is a very important point – they are equipped to handle everything high definition broadcasting and discs can demand of them. And make no mistake – High Definition Television will produce wide screen images in much more detail and clarity than we are used to from traditional broadcasting. In addition to tuners for cable and analog television – not to mention being able to receive unencrypted digital cable signals without requiring a set-top box – HD tuners are included in all modern rear projection TVs, which makes them capable of taking full advantage of all the exciting television innovations which will be with us soon.

Relationship Marketing Can Distinguish Your Company
Posted on June 24th, 2009 No commentsIn today’s business world, competition for clients can be fierce. A battlefield for lasting business relationships has been created as a result of so many people and companies offering the same products and services. They are all competing for the same business opportunities and this makes it especially difficult to tell which clients will be lasting.
The need to separate from the pack has forced businesses to look for different ways to show they want relationships, not transactions. There is an established way to do so, and it is through a tool called relationship marketing. At the center of relationship marketing is the idea that companies would rather establish lasting partnerships with the same clients instead of constantly using different clients.
To accomplish this task, relationship marketing takes avenues that make partners feel as though they are more than just a business partner. Send Out Cards is a great way to market relationships. They offer relationship marketing services that are quick, easy, and convenient. Through Send Out Card companies are able to let their partners know that they are more than just a number, they are an important, integral part of their business.
Going into the business relationship battlefield without a weapon is ludicrous. Send Out Cards provides businesses with the weapons needed to fight through the pack and announce themselves as a business that looks for more than just a transaction. It establishes them as companies who create pleasurable business relationships that are long lasting and ongoing. For a Send Out Cards review, please visit SendPhotoCardsNMore.com.

Twitter Mania – Follow Me And I Will Follow You Back
Posted on June 24th, 2009 No commentsTwitter, the social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users’ updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts of up to 140 characters in length, has no-doubt become quite a phenomenon. It is widely rumored that Twitter turned down an acquisition offer from Facebook for $500 Million. A recent TechCrunch report stated that Twitter’s valuation has reached in excess of $250 Million. There are reports that state that the reach of Twitter has exceeded that of Digg in a very short span of time. With an excess of 5 Million users and over 50 Million monthly visits, everyone’s tweeting!
Needless to say, what’s made Twitter a revolution is its ease of use. From signup to search, from following others to getting followed by others, to tweet or to retweet, to use the web or the phone, Twitter is just plain simple. Add to this the power of Twitter APIs, there are hundreds of tools, utilities and apps that continue to spring from nowhere. Today, there is a twitter tool just about to do anything you want on twitter.
Some use twitter for chit-chat. Ranging from “I just got up, and am off to a shower” to “Please get out and vote for me”, much is being said in 140 characters or less. Folks are asking questions and people in hundreds respond. Advertisers market their products, Affilaites promote products, News sources announce breaking news and Bloggers post their blogs as tweets – whether for personal or for business, Twitter is seen everywhere and used by everyone.
It has never been easier to build a network of followers. Never before has it been so easy to build a network of a 1,000 followers who follow what you have to say and are ready to receive a message from you. And best of all, it costs nothing to do it! Just think about what you would have to do to get a following of a 1,000 people – whether it is cold calling, or mail advertisement, or opt-in email marketing or a paid squeeze page lead capture – it takes a lot of time, money and effort.
The benefits being obvious, everyone is looking to build a wide follower base. There is a widely prevalent phenomenon on Twitter that is increasing in popularity – “Follow Me and I will Follow You Back“. This simply means that if you follow me on twitter, I will follow you right back. There are two schools of thought on this.
The first school of thought is that it is not appropriate to follow everyone that follows you. The second school of thought obviously thinks not. The idea of not following everyone that follow you has some logic to it. You could think of some parallels to this – “Buy my product, I will buy your product back” or “Subscribe to my newsletter, I will subscribe to your newsletter back”. One could also argue that if you follow 1,000’s of people, you really can’t do justice, as multiple tweets from each one (assuming each one is active) would just be information overload and you simply can’t follow any tweet, giving it justice. Both of these arguments could be argued as having some merit. But, also not.
Think for a moment why people use Twitter. True, one of the primary objectives is for you say what you are doing now and for others to tune in (or “follow”), but Twitter can be used for reasons well beyond that. Twitter is a wonderful networking tool, where you can build relationships with others and communicate not just now, but for months and years to come. You can sure tweet for the moment, but you can just as well message the other person in private. And if it is true that Twitter is a social networking tool, and if others have something of value to offer to you in return, there is nothing unusual about you tuning into their message as well. After all, you only stand to benefit!
The school of thought that says “Follow Me and I will Follow You Back” does has merit. Just because two parties follow each other, there is no commitment or obligation. Either party can ignore tweets, or can search through tweets by name, by RSS feeds or utilizing one of the infinite tools available, if the ongoing tweets are missed. Either party can message each other, and either party can choose to review or ignore such messages. And if one does not wants to be bothered, that could be done as well. Worst case, one could unfollow and/or block others as well. Just as anything else in life, if you use the tool effectively, you will only stand to benefit.
Twitter is real. Twitter works. Twitter is the tool of the century – probably bigger and better than any other Social Networking or Web 2.0 tool. Embrace it!
And if “Follow” bothers you, because you simply can’t follow 1,000’s of people (which I agree with and in that context, Twitter allowing one to follow 2,000 people may not make sense either, unless most are not active, in which case they should not be on Twitter in the first place!), then follow others on Twitter (and be followed) so you can use it to “Send and Receive Messages“. Again, there is no better tool, whether online or offline, that allows you to be able to send and receive messages to such a wide audience that has mutually agreed to receive and send messages to each other.
If you agree with this thought process, maybe we should rephrase the theme to “Receive Me and I will Receive You Back“. And, maybe we are not just talking Twitter, but rather an enhanced Twitter, one that is naturally Two-way, maybe we are talking Twowitter

Coping With Panic and Anxiety Attacks
Posted on June 23rd, 2009 No commentsAs an ex-sufferer of anxiety attacks I can certainly understand how it feels when one should occur. For me, they used to happen when I was pretty young, although I’ve also experienced them over the last few years and at several other times during my life.
My first experience of a panic attack was when playing football as a child. On occasions, when confrontations happened with another player or I got shouted at by people watching the game I could feel the symptoms of a panic attack. Though I didn’t realize at the time this is what it was, I certainly now know. Tightness in the throat, feeling like I couldn’t breathe and rapid heart rate were all too familiar.
More recently I’ve also experienced the same signs in interview or public speaking situations, and one thing’s for sure; I don’t want to experience them ever again. Learning how to stop panic attacks has been the best thing I’ve been taught. It’s given so much more confidence. The problem is that a lot of people try so many different techniques, but never find a solution. This is being there are different types of panic attacks and different types of people.
Finding a cure for panic attacks isn’t straightforward, but some familiar tips include getting enough sleep, eating the right kinds of food and controlling your thoughts and breathing.
Panic attacks typically last for around half an hour, though they can sometimes last several hours and even up to a day. Coping with panic attacks for such a long period of time can be difficult, especially if you have stressful situations in your life such as financial or relationship problems. The good news is that no matter what type of anxiety troubles you have, there is a solution. The links provided through this article have some excellent information well worth reading.

South Beach Diet Shopping List
Posted on June 23rd, 2009 No commentsLooking for a great resource for a shopping list for south beach diet foods? Unfortunately, due to the fact that this diet has become so popular so quick there are confusing resources available online for this sort of thing.
The good news is that we have put together the following tips when preparing to shop for foods for the south beach diet, although you may find that your doctor would categorize it as a high cholesterol diet. The jury is still out on that point.
For those readers who are familiar with the south beach diet it may be surprising to see some of the foods on our shopping list for the South Beach diet. This is mainly due to the fact that most of the foods that are recommended are foods that most people are currently eating anyways.
The first thing that you should do before shopping for the South Beach diet is examine the foods that you currently buy. You can start by removing any of the foods that the diet recommends staying away from. Some of these foods include breads, rice, potatoes, pasta, fruits, and sugary foods. The diet also recommends completely cutting out beer and alcohol. If you want a diet to lower cholesterol this might not be for you, so if you suffer from high cholesterol it might be worth investigating a little further.
Some people that start this diet have a problem with stopping beer and alcohol completely. It important to note that during the second phase of the diet you can start to reintroduce some of these foods.
The key of the diet is that the first phase will cause you to lose a lot of the cravings you had to begin with. In fact, a lot of people after the first phase will not have cravings for beer and alcohol at all. Now it’s time to start forming a shopping list for South Beach diet foods so you can begin phase one of the diet.
The shopping list for south beach diet foods should not stray too far away from your regular shopping list other than the foods you have cut out during phase one. Some of the foods that you should typically find on your shopping list include chicken, beef, turkey, fish, nuts, cheese, eggs, cheese and vegetables. The beauty of a shopping list for South Beach diet foods is that you don’t have to get any specific foods.
You want to stay away from buying products that already contain these ingredients or preservatives. As long as you stick to these foods and only buy fresh, natural foods you should have no problems.
If you want a shopping list for south beach diet foods, you should stick to the foods that the diet recommends. It is also important to note that during the second phase you can slowly start phasing the foods you cut out during phase 1 back into your diet.
The most important thing to remember is that the third phase of the diet will be your diet for the rest of your life, so any lack of self control during phase 2 will hinder your ability to be successful with this diet and effectively lose weight. Remember that a diet to lower cholesterol is not necessarily what this is, so remember to take professional medical advice, before starting this, or any diet.

Adding Design Flair to your Kitchen Backsplash
Posted on June 23rd, 2009 No commentsHow to jazz up the look of ones kitchen using the right type of tiles
The two areas of a house that many house owners overlook are the bathroom and kitchen. People spend money on decorating the other places of the house. However one needs to keep in mind that kitchen is place where a lot of time is spent. Hence it is imperative to spend particular attention to the design and set up of the kitchen.
The region over the counter top often turns out to be a problem area in the kitchen for many people. It is a good idea to install a kitchen tile backsplash. The small region over the counter top is ideal for lending a final touch to the kitchen. Glass tiles and natural stone tiles can be used in this context. As an alternative a person can also use tiles with texture and hand painted tiles. There is no hard and fast rule that all the tiles used in this area would have to look similar. A home owner can get interesting results by mixing and matching tiles.
Tiles not only look good in a kitchen but they are also easier to maintain and clean. It would be wrong to think that a mason needs to be called for installing a back splash. On the contrary, glass tile backsplash can be installed by a home owner easily. As expected some of the tiles need to be cut for trimming around windows and similar openings. While this can prove to be time consuming it is not tough.
Other openings like switches and wall outlets need to be trimmed carefully. The benefit of ceramic tile is that it can be used on a variety of surfaces with ease. However a person needs to keep in mind that the surface should be solid and clean. It would be advisable to put a cement layer to fix the tile properly.
A person needs to have a sense of aesthetics for making the decorative tile look visually pleasing. The tiles need to match with the color of the flooring and wall of the kitchen. If a person is not sure about selecting the right type of tiles he can talk with an interior designer. The web is a very good resource for finding various types of tiles that can be used in kitchen and other areas of a house. Many companies sell the tiles online and they have online catalogues where people can see the products and compare them side by side.
However if a person is looking for a one stop online solution for his tile buying need he can count on the site My Tile Backsplash. It offers the buyers the chance to take their pick from various types of tiles at one place. Whether one is looking for recycled glass tile, ceramic tile accents and stained glass mosaics he can get it all in this site. It keeps updating the range from time to time.

These types of shoes are low-cut with rounded tips for trouble-free twists and turns of the ankles. Its soles have better traction to permit sudden starts and stops. When purchasing a pair of tennis shoes, make sure that the fit is secure and right for you. Loose or tight fitting pairs promotes blisters and bunions making playing sports sore and agonizing. If you can manage it, pick out a famous brand. Not only will they sturdy and effective, they are also brilliantly designed too.

Tennis shoes are used by men and women of any age and size. There are so many footwear colors and designs to choose from that a regular person would want to acquire at least three sets.
I remember when I was still a kid, my mom and dad would frequently oblige me to wear my proper pair of shoes instead of my tennis shoes. You see, I would always use my snug sneakers. It was way frayed and often filthy but I didn’t care as long as I can play all day with my contacts. I can climb trees, run miles and go collecting insects.
There are countless brands offering magnificent and durable tennis shoes that your head will surely roll. To see all your choices, visit different online websites first before going to a specific shop.

How Diamond Prices Are Determined
Posted on June 22nd, 2009 No commentsPricing most products is quite easy. Determine how much it costs to make the item, how much it costs to market that item, and then mark it up by 15 – 30% or more. Simple, right? Well, pricing diamonds isn’t quite that simple. There are many factors that are considered when diamonds are priced.
Diamond prices are determined first by adding the cost of the rough diamond, the cost of cutting the diamond, and all other costs necessary to turn the rough diamond into a marketable diamond. Depending on the importance of the diamond, an independent company may be called in to certify the grade of the diamond based on color, cut, clarity, and weight. At this point, the diamond becomes more expensive each time it changes hands, until it finally reaches a retailer, where the price is raised a bit more. Before reaching the retailer, however, the diamond must travel from the mine, to the cutter and polisher, to the independent grading company, and then to the Primary market. Once it has reached the primary market, it will be purchased by diamond dealers and wholesalers, and from there it will be sold to retailers. As you can see, the earlier you can purchase a diamond in the process, the lower the cost of the diamond will be – but not the value. The value is based on what the diamond will sell for in the market place – through a retailer.
If you own a diamond, and you have no idea how much it is worth, you can have it appraised, but the appraisal may not be accurate. You will be better off obtaining a certificate through GIA – Gemological Institute of America. With the information on this certificate, you can use a cutter’s guide to accurately determine what your diamond is worth. There are also many diamond price calculators available. These can be found on the Internet, and many diamond dealers use these as well. You must realize, however, that before you can accurately price a diamond, without a Diamond Grade Report, you need to know quite a bit about diamonds, such as different cuts, clarity, color, and weight – and how each of those aspects adds to the value of a diamond, or decreases the value of the diamond as the case may be.
Again, you will be better off if you get a Diamond Grading Report on the diamond, and use that information to look up the price in one of the guides that the diamond cutting industry uses. This will give you the most accurate value of the diamond in your possession, or of the wholesale diamonds you are considering purchasing.
