Effective Method To Wash Shower Curtains
Posted on July 25th, 2009 No commentsDo want to find some tips about washing bathroom shower curtain sets? Well you have come to the right place. Below is an overview of some of the methods you can use. At the end of reading you will be in a position to know at least 3 alternatives you can use to clear your shower curtains..
Chaging the curtains in your bathroom can be quite expensive especially if you are after quality. What do you do if the curtain has some mildew and soap scum all over it?
One options is to soak it in the bath with bleach and some water. You need to be careful when using this method as over bleaching can have a negative effect on your beautifully colored purple shower curtain.
One of the easier ways to clean it is to put it in a washing machine. Whether it’s a plastic or a plastic covered fabric just put it in the washing machine and it will be cleaned. You might have to set the machine to be at non-rinse cycle and also use a normal detergent. For best results, chuck in a towel or two in there so you can have it rub against the curtain and cleaning it in the process.
Another option is to soak it in some soda crystals. Compared to bleach this is way better especially in terms of eco-friendliness. With this one you get no smell but 100% cleaniliness. Using this method is simple and straight forward, simply add some water in a bath and add the crystals then leave the curtain in there overnight.
If you own a washing machine you can put your brown shower curtains in the wash with the soda crystals instead of a normal washing detergent. One of the people I know even used vinegar instead of a conditioner. I don’t really know how the outcome will be if you use vinegar as I haven’t tried it yet but I am sure it does a good job.
