AED Grants–How To Apply
Posted on October 30th, 2009 No commentsAED’s are pricey. They can save lives; however they are expensive. The good news is that a handful of organizations hand out AED grants to help reduce your expenses. This article will teach you how to get an AED grant and how to qualify for it.
The good news part 1 is that getting an AED grant is easy…if you know what grant organizations want to hear.
You see, most companies will ask for a(n)
- Organization Name
- Grant Application Contact Name
- Contact Phone Number
- Address
- Contact Email AddressAnd they’ll require some routine information about the number of AEDs you want and what protocols your organization currently uses in the event of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA).
But listen to this: surprisingly, dozens of grant organizations don’t care how many AEDs you want. Whether you want five or ten AEDs–or only 1–it doesn’t matter to them.
No organization or request is too little. Believe it or not, I heard one donor admit that the most important criterion for him (in evaluating AED grant applications) is the size and type of the organization. His number one aim is to place his money where he believed it might do the most good.
In other words AED donors *favor* smaller organizations like…
- Schools
- Churches
- Fire and Police Departments
- Dental Offices
- Community Centers
- City and County Municipalities
- Volunteer Groups
- Sporting Organizations
- and even Individuals
The good news (part 2), is that AED grants are easy to come by…if you know where to find them and how to search.
(If you haven’t yet) try searching the internet using terms like “AED Grants,” “Defibrillator Grants,” or “AED Sales.” Many organizations have sites with online applications and the forms take minutes to fill out.
Best of all, a few AED donors can process your application in as few as 7 days and offer discounts of up to 20% off.
So, if you or someone you know would benefit from an AED grant, don’t wait. Begin the application process now. Qualifying may be easier than you think.
To apply today, visit our site at http://www.aed-grants.org

Green Car Tips
Posted on October 30th, 2009 No commentsGreen is the new watchword for a generation, everyone is looking for products that will help save the planet and that includes green cars. If you are concerned with the environment or would just like an alternative to high prices at the pumps there are several things you can do.
1. Hybrids- The easiest way to have a green car is to buy one! These vehicles are generally combination vehicles that will run on gas, electricity or other alternative fuel. The main thing you want to concern yourself with here is whether or not your area supports the alternative fuel.
2. Driving Habits- One way you can help the planet is to change your driving habits to the point that your automobile is a “green” car. There are things anyone can do to decrease fuel consumption and thereby reduce emissions. Driving erratically with hard stops and fast take offs will burn a third more gasoline than moderate or calm driving.
3. Diesel- More and more people are achieving green car status by converting to bio-diesel. All across the country this fuel is becoming more available and if you already own a diesel vehicle there is little if anything you will have to modify to use this clean burning fuel. The worst emissions you will have is the smell of french fries!
4. Maintenance- Keeping your car properly tuned will help more than you can imagine. Old oil, bad plugs or wires and dirty air filters all conspire to decrease your fuel economy. Would you believe that something as simple as proper tire inflation can affect the amount of gasoline you burn? It is estimated that this country would save two billion gallons of gas per year if everyone properly inflated their tires, talk about a green car!
There are many ways to reduce fuel consumption, boost economy and overall help the planet. Whether you buy a new green car or simply change a few things with your old one, there is something everyone can do to help.

I love my office and coworkers
Posted on October 30th, 2009 No commentsI work in a small office that has 6 people. The building is 30 x 60 and we all have cubicles to define our space. We have a computer work bench, several desks and several filing cabinets. I was just looking them over, never having paid much attention to them before, and I see they are by Hon. Hon office products are well known and very well made. They are 4 drawers tall, have locks with keys, and ball bearing rollers to make pulling out the heavy drawers very smooth. We have them stuffed full of a variety of customer files and where there were empty drawers we filled them with excess office supplies like phone books, CD cases, old books, etc.
We’re not very good about keeping our work area clean, but I have to say that the filing cabinets are organized. There’s also a bunch of stuff sitting on top of them. Boxes of equipment for customers, unused 2″ binders, even a little radio. We use every inch of work and storage space we can find.
I love my office. My coworkers are very nice, we have a great working relationship and we are always willing to step up and do the right thing to help each other out. Of course there are duties we don’t like to perform, but someone always gets them done. It’s great working here and I’m thankful to have the job.

Credits card anyone?
Posted on October 29th, 2009 No commentsThe emergence of electronic age made almost everything possible to people. Determining and curing terminal diseases made convenient, reaching uncharted territories became a possibility, and most of all; everyday life of people is made easy by the technology. We now have more convenient stores, easier means of transportation and a variety of gadgets that makes work and pleasure almost effortless.
When it comes to finances, technology—through efficient banking system and services—has given people better alternatives and options how to manage their finances. Among the so many financial management schemes that emerged, one alternative stands out among the rest—the credit card.
Credit card, especially to working people and those who live very busy lives, has become an ultimate financial “savior.” More than just being a status symbol or an add-on to expensive purses and wallets, credit card has revolutionized the way people spend their money.
But, more than the glamour and the convenience credit card brings, there is much more to this card than most people could ever imagine.
Credit Card 101
Before indulging much into the never-ending list of the advantages and disadvantages of having a credit card, it is very important for people to first have a brief realization of what credit card really is in order for them to maximize its potentials. In layman’s terms, credit card is a card that allows a person to make purchases up to the limit set by the card issuer. One must then pay off the balance in installments with interest payments. Usually, credit card payment per month ranges from the minimum amount set by the bank to entire outstanding balance. And since it is a form of business, the longer the credit card holder wait to pay off his or her entire amount, the more interest pile up.
Since having a credit card is a responsibility, only those people who are of legal age and have the capability to pay off the amount they are going to spend through their credit card, is allowed to have one. Actually, most of the adults in the U.S. use credit card because this is very convenient compared to carrying cash or checks every time they have to purchase something.
It is also equally important to be familiar with the different types of credit cards before you begin to build up credit card balances and to avoid having a nightmare of debt. Since credit cards are indispensable to most consumers, it is a must that they understand the types of card that include charge cards, bankcards, retail cards, gold cards and secured cards. All of these types come in one of two interest rate options—the fixed and variable. Actually, it doesn’t really matter if you decide to have a fixed-rate credit card because the interest rate remains the same. Compared to variable rate cards where rate may be subject to change depends upon the credit card issuer’s discretion, fixed-rate carry higher interest rates. Basically, credit card grantors issue three types of accounts with basic account agreements like the “revolving agreement” a.k.a. Typical Credit Card Account which allows the payer to pay in full monthly or prefer to have partial payments based on outstanding balance. While the Charge Agreement requires the payer to pay the full balance monthly so they won’t have to pay the interest charges, the Installment Agreement, on the other hand, asks the payer to sign a contract to repay a fixed amount of credit in equal payments in definite period of time. Another category of credit card accounts includes the individual and joint accounts where the former asks the individual alone to repay the debt while the latter requires the partners responsible to pay. The common types of credit cards available through banks and other financial institutions also include Standard Credit Cards like Balance Credit Card Transfers and Low Interest Credit Cards; Credit Cards with Rewards Programs like Airline Miles Credit Cards, Cash Back Credit Cards and Rewards Credit Cards; Credit Cards for Bad Credit like Secured Credit Cards and Prepaid Credit Cards; and Specialty Credit Cards like Business Credit Cards and Student Credit Cards.
Now that you have an idea how many types of credit card there is, it is now time to review your goals before applying for one. Some of the things you should consider is how will you spend with the credit card monthly, if you plan to carry a balance at the end of the month, how much are you willing to pay in annual fees, if you have a strong credit history and is does your credit in need of rehabilitation. Once you have an idea of what you are looking for choose the right credit card for you by researching the information you need that will fit your basic needs. You may also review the credit cards you’ve research and compare them.
Shopping for a credit card?
Regardless of the type of credit card you choose, be sure to discuss your specific financial needs with your financial advisor or accountant before applying for any credit card. It is a must that you understand the benefits of having a credit card like safety, valuable consumer protections under the law, and the accessibility and availability of services. The most popular credit cards include Chase Manhattan Bank, Citibank, Bank of America, BankOne, American Express, Discover® Card, First Premier Bank, Advanta, HSBC Bank, and MasterCard Credit Cards.Although having a credit card is synonymous to invincibility, this may also trigger a person’s thirst for material things and may lead into the temptation of buying something they don’t really need. A credit card bearer should always have in min that having a credit card is a big responsibility. If they don’t use it carefully, these may owe more than they can repay. It can also damage their credit report, and create credit problems that are quite difficult to repair.

How to Choose Labrador Retriever Puppies
Posted on October 29th, 2009 No commentsLabrador Retrievers are very popular dogs in the United States of America. This is because they are very affectionate dogs that are eager to please their owners. They have highly exceptional intelligence and are very people oriented dogs. They were originally used as retrievers of water fowl when their owners went hunting and are still used for that purpose today although some are chased on a Razor E200 Electric Scooter.
Facts About Labrador Retriever Puppies
Labrador retriever puppies are small, fluffy, and cute, but they will grow up to be large dogs. Their weight should be around 55 to 80 pounds and they should be compact and well proportioned. Labrador retrievers can be quite strong and need to be trained early to ensure that they will listen to their owner and not pull away when being walked. Labrador Retrievers’ heads are generally broad and have well pronounced stops and brows. Basic obedience commands are learned quickly and are retained easily by these intelligent animals.
Most Labrador Retrievers have very expressive eyes and expressions. The ears are pendant and hang close to the face, a little above the eye line. It is because of their personality and protectiveness towards their human family that many families with small children, as with a Fast Electric Scooter, you choose to adopt a Labrador retriever. Labrador retrievers love small children and sometimes designate themselves as the child’s protector, alerting the parents if the child is about to get into trouble. Because Labrador retriever puppies are highly intelligent, they are frequently trained for use in police work, search and rescue teams, as guide dogs for the blind, and as service dogs for disabled individuals.
A lot of work goes into caring for Labrador retriever puppies. The coat of a Labrador retriever, whether it is yellow, chocolate, or black, has dual layers. Labrador Retrievers are exceptional dogs that are loyal and devoted to their human families. They are usually good tempered and agile dogs that love the company of people, around a Razor E200 Charger, when properly socialized as puppies. They are often boisterous and fun loving which can result in many good times and excessive energy when they do not get enough exercise. A Labrador retriever can only be happy in an apartment dwelling if the owner provides plenty of opportunities for exercise and are not left unattended for long periods of time.

Put the Excitement Back in Working Out
Posted on October 29th, 2009 No commentsRemember when you used to be a kid? If you were like me, you were probably always outside running around with your friends. We were always playing mad games that required us to run and jump. I think we failed to realize how healthy that was. Perhaps if we probably did, we’d have attempted to avoid it more . perhaps not. I suspect the biggest reason most of us don’t exercise today is often because somewhere along the lines it changed from being something fun we just naturally did, to some structured beat down program to get or stay fit.
I suspect the smartest thing to do to put the fun back into an exercise plan is to find the kid in you again. Stop structuring every minute of your program to fit perfectly into some fat reduction plan you are on. Plan out fun activities which will cause you to incidentally burn calories while you are enjoying time with your friends and family.
Rather than going to the gym and running on the treadmill for exactly 30 mins and not a second more, grab your folks and some bikes and find a cool park to ride through. Get the kids outside and start up a neighborhood football game. Get a football ball and challenge your friends to a hefty game of soccer. The loser has to cook dinner. Take a jog in a lovely park and experience the nature around you. Load up the kids and go to a lake. If you’ve a boat, take up water skiing. If not, play Frisbee or volleyball on the beach. You do not have to be good at these games, just get out and have fun while your body consumes calories.
Another good idea is to get on a sports team in the neighborhood. If you enjoy tennis, join a league. This is a great way to burn off stress, have a great time and burn energy without having to consider it. There are plenty of competitive sports you could become involved in if that is’s fun for you. If not, take up a sport anyhow and just play with friends and family for fun. In any case, do some research and find some things you love to do. It’s a way to stay healthy and to coach your family to live a healthy way of living as well .
